This musical frog guiro or rasp is made of teak wood. He is 5 1/2" long, 3" tall.
Hold the frog loosely at the bottom and run the large end of the wooden stick along his back from rear to front for a lovely, resonant "croak."
You can also hit the frog on his front legs or nose for a resonant, hollow "tock."
Hit him elsewhere on the body for a fine, clave-type "knock."
Our frog is carefully chosen to give exceptional resonance, volume and tone.
Larger frogs are not necessarily louder or better in tone. We find that the smaller frogs sound best.
The body should be hollowed, and the mouth should have a good opening for best sound.
Place your frog in a high-traffic area - he's a great conversation piece and people can't resist him!
