The left-handed RainSong DR1000L - Here in the Adirondack Region of Upstate New York we experience many of Mother Nature's extremes. We always have at least a few hot and humid dog days in the summer, and manage to get down below zero in winter - a little too often for my taste. Many of us heat our homes with wood stoves, and with long winters our houses and guitars tend to get very dried out. Not a week goes by without someone bringing a guitar to my store with a lifted, cracked or warped top - damage caused by temperature and humidity extremes. The RainSong should be called an "Adirondack Guitar!" My customers have pulled Rainsongs from the trunks of their cars in sub-zero temperatures, to find their guitars not only unaffected, but still in tune! Rainsong has developed a guitar for all seasons, which play as well as,and sound better than, all their competitors. I took one home for myself, and eBay-ed my Taylor. Dennis, - Adirondack Guitar
Left-handed guitar players have been faced with a choice:
play a right-handed guitar upside down or pay extra for the privilege of owning
a guitar that was actually built for a left-hander! Not that Jimi Hendrix
wasn't onto something great; but left-handed players should play left-handed
guitars, and owning one should not be a privilege that costs extra.
Because of an onslaught of inquiries from left-handed players seeking left-handed guitars, RainSong is introducing a left-handed version of the successful DR1000 dreadnought.

The lefty DR1000L will come with all the attributes, bells and whistles the right-handed version has. It will have the same great sound, balance, clarity and volume of RainSong's Projection Tuned Layering soundboard. It will have the same fast and comfortable neck, the same stability and durability of all-graphite construction. It will come with the same stellar RainSong Element On-Board System by L.R. Baggs. It will also come with the same price, identical to the standard DR1000. However, the DR1000L will be built for left-handed players, with a left-handed nut and a left-handed compensated B saddle. With a lefty RainSong at hand, offered at no extra cost, the choices facing left-handed players have gotten a little easier. The left-handed RainSong DR1000L is being introduced at this summer's NAMM in Nashville. The suggested retail price is $2,995.00 with Case.
