Every Guitar Player who walks in our door seems to bring a friend who is a drummer. We started out slowly, stocking Drum Sticks and a few Drum Heads to help our percussion-possessed brethren keep the beat going on. Then we added some drum hardware and a few cymbals. Then we needed more, more ...
This has been an interesting learning curve for me. I now know that drummers make us guitar players sound better than we probably are, and drummers make great customers!
This whole drum thing has really begun to snowball. We now have 3 drum instructors on our teaching staff, and I have learned just how clueless I was on the fine art of "keeping the beat." Thankfully, I have been saved. Adirondack Guitar (and Drum) now has "The Drum Guy" to help me find the way. We are carrying Peace, CB, and Gretsch Drums. We are expanding our World Percussion Inventory and, thanks to Scary Mary, I can safely say we have the most unusual assortment of weird percussion instruments in our region. Our commitment to getting kids involved in music (and music does make you smarter), is strong in the percussion area. We stock an assortment of percussion intruments for pre-schoolers to middle-aged children.
I will be adding more links for sticks; drum heads; an expanded Peace, Gretsch menu; Zildjan, Paiste, and Wuhan Cymbal Links as caffeine and my endurance allow. (Not to mention an expanded Scary Mary's Corner).
