The deep-bodied, cutaway twelve string features all-graphite construction,
Fishman electronics, a slim neck and RainSong's patented construction process
of Projection Tuned Layering™. According to the company, there is no
better stage to appreciate the qualities of RainSong's all-graphite construction
and Projection Tuned Layering™ than a twelve string.
Graphite as a material is extremely beneficial in the construction of a twelve string due to the added structural demands placed on the guitar by six extra strings. The stability and strength of graphite compared to wood is very high. As a result, RainSong is able to set its twelve string action low and design its necks to be thin, comfortable, and easy to play without fear of structural failure. Additionally, the RainSong twelve string will stay in tune far longer than conventional wooden twelve string acoustics.
The graphite sound of RainSong is only brightened and made more intense by the complex tones, overtones and sympathetic overtones specific to a twelve string. Rich, loud, clear and balanced, the WS3000 makes a great twelve string, great for strumming and fingerstyle, full of power and delicacy, and ready to hit the road.
